2020 Selladore Blanc - 75cl single bottle

Tasting Note:

Selladore Blanc is a perfect example of Provençal white, produced at Domaine St Jean de Villecroze, just 30km inland from St Tropez and the Côte d'Azur. A delicate and floral wine, combining meticulous winemaking and taste in a fabulous iconic bottle.

A complex nose with floral notes twinned with exotic fruits such as peaches and mangoes. On the palate, the wine has a velvety texture which is generous, rich and fleshy balanced with medium acidity and an alluring minerality. Delicious with grilled asparagus or fresh seafood.

Production: 

Grapes are entirely hand-picked under torchlight to ensure freshness at the point of return to the winery. The stems are removed leaving just the berries which are cold macerated and pressed where the must is allowed to settle at cool temperatures. It is then separated into barrels or stainless-steel tanks for fermentation; 30% is in new French oak Demi-Muids (500L) with the remaining 70% in temperature controlled stainless steel. The cuvées are then aged for 6 months and blended prior to bottling
